...Focus
on profits, not learning...

The key to maximizing profits is
to identify the most valuable information, knowledge and power in your
business. Information and knowledge are investments. You need to
maximize the return on those investments. Learn
to Profit™
helps you see your business as a portfolio of investments in
information, knowledge and power (your IKP portfolio). Profits
come from having information, knowledge or power that your
competitors don't have.
Our
projects range from two-day Senior Executive Learn to Profit™
Retreats to larger projects for business strategy
development,
accelerating growth, improving sales and marketing
effectiveness, reducing costs, developing an
outsourcing strategy, organizational
design, IT strategy
development and
creating a learning organization.
Our
typical projects have four phases. In
Phase 1, we work with your senior team to analyze your current
investments in information, knowledge and power. Phase 1
identifies high return, low cost information, knowledge and
power that can be leveraged, and low return, high cost
investments that are candidates for outsourcing.
It is very likely that a small proportion of all the information
and knowledge you invest in generates most of your profits.
Phase
2 generates improvement ideas. We identify new opportunities to exploit the
firm’s most valuable IKP assets. We also show how to to create
new profits by acquiring valuable IKP assets more effectively than
your competitors. This creative and collaborative process will
change the way your executives think about their business.
Phase
3 develops financial targets and metrics for the Learning Investment Portfolio.
The IKP Strategy is another key output from this Phase. These are
the tools your executives use to ensure improvements show up in
the bottom line.
Phase
4 details the organizational and process changes required to
deliver the improved return on investment. Typically,
organizational changes are needed to speed response to
information, and process changes are needed to embed learning.
The result: an organization that maximizes profit through
learning.
